White House Decries 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Released

House Democrats have released a additional set of what they described as "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The first release of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 unveiled later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.

The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking offenses.

Prominent Personalities in the Photos

Included in the prominent personalities seen in the opening set are celebrities such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.

Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.

Administration Statement

The White House responded to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the pictures for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false account."

"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," an administration official stated, asserting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging openness, making public numerous documents of records, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's Democratic associates."

Panel Member Comment

The images were disclosed lacking captions, but according to a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's links with wealthy individuals.

"The moment has come to end this White House obfuscation and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he stated in a comment.

The release of these documents coincides with the oversight committee continuing its probe into the Epstein case.
