Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Local events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the field.

In contrast, the team owner received a cooler welcome at the rally. Video footage from the gathering appear to show him taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers interrupting his address.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
