Defiant Nancy insists he is not worried about dismissal but the Parkhead faithful unleash wrath following loss.
The under-pressure manager declared he had no concerns about dismissal, claiming, “The team is very near to a turnaround,” despite edging perilously close to being fired with a comprehensive setback against their arch-rivals.
Another Collapse Sees Old Firm Disaster

“We are together at the club,” said Nancy.
Questioned about his own future, he said: “That’s not my focus. My focus is on working out methods to aid my players to excel on the fine details.
Supporters' Anger Erupts
The fans displayed their anger – directed at the dugout and directors – by gathering at full time. Club directors would be most likely to return to the former boss, who enjoyed a successful caretaker period last year, if the Frenchman were sacked.
“It’s the results [that leads to pressure]. And that’s the truth for the moment. But by saying that’s how it is, it doesn’t mean that I am pessimistic. Absolutely not. The message is we are on the cusp, really, really close to turn things around.”
Focus on the Details
He highlights the fact his team show good levels for one half at a time. In fact, if not for wastefulness in front of goal they could have been more than 1-0 up. “There were positives other than the fact that we didn't take our chances,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but it's important to stay objective.
“The level we had at certain moments was exceptionally high. This is the reality. I could not speak so positively if it was not the case. Therefore, regarding outcomes, I said this is the same story. For that reason I believe a change is coming to getting it right. Currently: the fine margins.”
“There were plenty of positives that we did, once more. The issue now it’s about consistency. My narrative would not be if it was not the case. This is why I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”
The Rangers Boss Response
Danny Röhl played down talk of a serious challenge in spite of what felt like a statement victory. “Step by step, so we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The belief in the group is immense.”
