The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that attracts so many fans into the NFL

This outcome may have opened things up for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors

Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award

The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen try too much or could it simply have been a bad day for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to address

The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an surprising result - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only got the team's opening first down in the third period and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a massive egg produced by one of the league's top offences

Tua Tagovailoa passed for two scores but rusher De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with Cook and company recording just 86 yards, their lowest of the season and slightly more than half their 161.5 yard average

Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter fumble that Miami turned into a touchdown just later

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to rescue his squad out of it - not the calm, controlled, balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have served up a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 squads in the league, all AFC sides, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their combined 24 victories achieved against teams with a winning record - and one of those was the Colts beating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can rely on Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their two defeats came in new head coach Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven straight victories, just like Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to prepare was huge

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he certainly deserves point for bravery after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but hanging in there to steer his team to success

The defensive unit is reliable and rookie rusher Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting scores of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the best record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a successful opponent, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Chargers (who might also compete for first place but encounter the identical challenge) and additionally the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a considerable distance to go but the opportunity is open for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three eight and two teams are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who both put up forty points to reach 7-2 before the upcoming major game between the pair in LA

They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Both could realistically be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their two defeats occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are truly two of the top teams in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year to date

Top Performer - Taylor
